For more than 25 years Rummel Construction has been a leader in Earthmoving Construction in the Southwest. With more than 600 employees and over 200 pieces of owned heavy equipment, we've got the experience and resources to get the job done right and in the safest manner.

Skills and Responsibilities: A Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic must be able to perform pre and post truck inspections, maintain driver logs (elogs) and ensure DOT compliance at all times. To repair vehicles and equipment, Mechanics often lift heavy parts and tools, handle greasy and dirty parts, and stand or lie in awkward or strained positions. This is a safety sensitive position that requires the ability to perform substantial walking, sitting, squatting, standing, bending, lifting up to 50lbs, and being able to get in and out of equipment safely. The position is also responsible for using a variety of tools: hand tools, power tools, drill presses, grinding machines, welding and flame-cutting equipment, and jacks and hoists to lift and move large parts.
