Grading Superintendent

Who Are We? 

Since 1996 Rummel Construction has been building the Southwest US as one of the premier earthworks and grading contractors in Arizona. We self-perform the majority of our work and sustain one of the largest fleets of heavy equipment in the state. Scrapers, Excavators, Dozers, that's the equipment that drives our business. We build roads, residential developments, golf courses and much more.  

Who are You?

You've run the equipment, you've trained others, you've delivered your projects on time. You're good at communicating and leading others and you're a hard worker.

What Skills should you have?

  • Able to communicate and coordinate on-site earthmoving equipment (scrapers, excavators, dozers, etc)
  • Identify obstacles and provide solutions
  • Track daily quantities, CY of material moved, etc
  • Able to train and evaluate new operators
  • Able to communicate with project management staff

You should be very familiar with:

  • Cut/fill earthwork operations
  • Reading and interpreting plan sets
  • Reading and understanding soil reports and project specifications
  • Dust Control requirements and best practices

This is a safety-sensitive position which requires operating company equipment and as such, you should be able to pass an MVR, drug screen, be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, sit, stand, kneel, walk in rough, uneven terrain and work in all weather conditions. 

Minimum Qualifications

At least 3 years experience in grading and earthworks construction, previous supervision experience, and the ability to travel to project locations throughout the Southwest United States.
